This website offers an internet-based decision-making system for all People to exercise their Sovereign Authority over their elected officials.
It's equally owned and controlled by the People.
There has been many attempts throughout the world to establish a government that is truly of, by, to, for and from the People. However, up to this time the People have failed to control and direct their elected officials. This has been due to the People's inability to create and project a unified voice that carries the authority of the People's Government. The People have been conditioned to believe that they have authority over their goverments by participating in periodic elections.
In reality a democracy and a republic are both corporate forms of government where the power rests in the apex of a corporate pyramid - the governmental institutions and the elites who control them.
There is a form of government where the People are the apex and the hightest authority at all times. It is a government that is called republican in form (nothing to do with the "republican" party). Republican comes from Latin and would be best translated as "of, by, to, for and from the People".
The People are the real masters and the elected government officials are their servants.
A simple way to tell the deference between the two forms of government is to look at the document that created them:
A republican form of government is created by a declaration of the People. For example, "We, the People declare: that ...; that ...; etc..."
On the other hand, a corporate form of government is created by a list of articles and sections. For example, "Article I section 2: ..., Article II section 3: ..., etc..."
In the corporate form documents the People are excluded and not mentioned as the source of the Law - implicitly giving People's representatives full power of attorney to make Law.
It is like a master giving his servants the power to make all decisions without the master having any say in the decisions anymore. The master who gives away all powers to servants becomes powerless.
Some governments may give the appearance of being republican in form by having their founding documents start with the words "We, the People"; However, if the form shifts to a list of articles in corporate form later in the same document, the People have been the victims of a bait and switch crime. learn more about the history of the bait and switch crime
Another illusion is a statement often misquoted in support of the People's authority and is found in the corporate Charter of the United Nations.
Article 21 (3) of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights starts with:
"The will of the people shall be the basis of the authority of
government;..."
but the words that follow actually retract the People's authority by giving it away to their representatives:
"... this will shall be expressed in periodic and genuine elections which
shall be by universal and equal suffrage and shall be held by secret vote
or by equivalent free voting procedures."
A government that is not controlled at all times by the People cannot be called a government of, by, to, for, and from the People.

The UPIT team
The decision-making technology that currently exists is briefly described here.
Imagine waking up one morning, going to your computer, and seeing the list of issues that are currently debated in your area or all over the world. You will be able to submit your own issues and proposals that will contribute towards finding a solution.
The decison-making process is fully transparent and controlled collectively by the participants. Virtually every aspect that regulates the decision-making
process, like the percentage of people it takes to validate a vote or the number of days allowed for a vote, is controlled by all participants on an equal basis.
Unlike a typical forum, the discussion may result in the making and the selection by issue participants of one single proposal out of many others. The selected proposal will then be submitted for acceptance by all members in a vote.
Moreover, when the solution is accepted, it holds the legitimacy and authority of the People as the Collective Sovereignty.
Everyone can participate within the safe and friendly environment of their home and no one is forced to participate. Anonymity of the vote is protected and no issue is rushed to conclusion since deadlines are set by the particpants themselves.

A global strategy is currently being developed and is updated regurlarly as more people contribute. It includes at this stage a 7 steps plan for each community to activate their Collective Sovereignty.
A global financial strategy to enable the activation of the Collective Sovereignty worldwide.
A strategy to find the people who are able and willing to coordinate the development of the UP system worldwide.
